About Us

Ancient Oaks is a small ranch nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains. We share our ranch with our labradors, cats, Horses, a covey or two of quail and occasionally deer who wander through to share the pasture and apple trees with our horses.

In 1987 in Colorado we aquired our first beautiful black labrador puppy "Duke" from a neighbor that had a unplanned litter. He was the love of our life and not only a first class obedience trained dog but also my husbands best friend and hunting companion. From then on we were hooked on labradors and I eventually entered the show ring and have been bitten by the show bug ever since.

Our Goal is to produce Labradors with a wonderful temperament, excellent health and soundness. We strive to produce Labradors that are all around great family pets, as well as hunting, showing, and therapy/companion prospects. 

We raise black, yellow and chocolate, and all our pet  puppies are sold on a Spay/Neuter contact with limited registration.

We truly thank the Lord for allowing us to be care takers of His wonderful creatures, and the privilege of loving, raising  and showing Labrador Retrievers.
